Today, I want to talk about snacking healthy, especially if you are a blogger and social media influencer like me. People like us, spend hours upon hours a day sitting on our backsides at our desks. The only exercise we are getting comes from our fingers clacking across our keyboards. It can get boring and repetitive which makes many of us want to snack while at our desks. It is important that you are eating healthy at all times during the day since you are not physically active to burn off the calories associated with junk foods.
One healthy tip that I learned is to exchange your crunchy snacks like pretzels and chips for fresh veggies. Carrots, cucumbers, and celery are my favorites. I even dip them in things like low fat ranch dressing or peanut butter to add a little extra flavor. But, if you are a picky eater or just cannot stay away from sweets and other not so healthy snacks, you can pick up some 100 calorie snack packs and limit yourself to just one pack a day.
The real key to successfully snacking in a healthy manner is to take small bites, chew thoroughly, and eat slowly. This will stretch out the time you are taking to eat and will trick your body into feeling full. Also, be sure to drink lots of water…LOTS. This will also help you feel full, so you are prone to want to eat less.
